Tenneco Inc. has named CEOs to lead the company’s powertrain unit and aftermarket and rider performance business when the two operations spin off as independent companies next year.

Roger Wood, who retired as CEO of Dana Holding Corp. in 2015, will become chairman and CEO of the powertrain company, which will be headquartered in Detroit. Wood currently is executive chairman of Fallbrook Technologies Inc., a Texas-based industrial innovation company.

Brian Kesseler, Tenneco’s current CEO, will become chairman and CEO of the aftermarket and parts company, to be based at Tenneco’s current headquarters in Lake Forest, Ill. Kesseler is the former president of aftermarket-focused Johnson Controls Power Solutions, who joined Tenneco as chief operating officer in 2015.

The two men will begin by serving and co-CEOs of Tenneco after the company’s acquisition of Federal-Mogul Corp. is completed. That $5.4 billion deal was announced in April.
