Tata Reports 1% Sales Growth

Tata Motors Ltd. says it wholesaled 76,600 vehicles in June, up 1% from a year earlier. Volume for the fiscal year that began April 1 rose 2% to 233,500 units.

Global sales of all passenger vehicles grew 3% to 45,500 last month, including a 29% jump to 10,600 units for Tata-brand models. Fiscal first-quarter volume rose 4% to 146,700.

Tata's wholesale deliveries of commercial vehicles were flat for both the month (31,100 units) and April-June (86,800). Wholesales of luxury cars and SUVs by Tata's Jaguar Land Rover unit fell 3% to 34,900 in June.
