Spyker Case Against GM to Get February Hearing
A federal court in Detroit has scheduled a Feb. 19 hearing for the $3 billion lawsuit (€2.3 billion) that Saab Automobile and parent Spyker Cars NV filed against General Motors Co. in August.

A federal court in Detroit has scheduled a Feb. 19 hearing for the $3 billion lawsuit (€2.3 billion) that Saab Automobile and parent Spyker Cars NV filed against General Motors Co. in August.
Saab and Spyker allege GM unlawfully prevented Saab's sale to China's Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile Co. in 2011, thus driving the Swedish carmaker into bankruptcy last December.
The U.S. automaker retained the rights to its own technology when it sold Saab to Spyker in 2010. GM blocked several bids for Saab by refusing to license its technology to buyers who might use it to compete with GM or its Chinese joint venture partners.
