General Motors Co.'s OnStar telematics system is launching a new service that can automatically tell drivers when they are approaching retailers who are offering special deals on everything from clothing and hotel rates to parking and donuts.

Dubbed AtYourService, the feature involves inaugural partnerships with Dunkin' Donuts, Parkopedia, Priceline.com and digital coupon providers Entertainment Book and RetailMeNot. OnStar intends to add more partners and broaden the system's capabilities in coming years.

The Priceline alliance will enable customers to use OnStar advisors to make same-day hotel reservations while driving. Audiobooks.com will feed e-book content into the car on demand.

OnStar is demonstrating AtYourService this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. GM plants to roll out the offering in the U.S. and Canada early this year.
