Skoda Predicts Record 1 Million Sales

Volkswagen AG's Skoda unit expects to top 1 million vehicle sales in 2014, surpassing its previous record by more than 6%.

The company delivered 955,300 vehicles in the first 11 months of the year compared with a full-year record of 939,200 units in all of 2012. November sales jumped 10% to a record 90,200 cars.

The Czech company credits strong demand for its low-price models in China, where sales of 250,600 units have already climbed above last year's full-year record.
