Valley City, Ohio-based Shiloh Industries Inc. has opened an aluminum casting plant in Nantong, China.
The 150,000 sq-ft facility initially will use Shiloh’s proprietary CastLight system to produce aluminum carriers for 9-speed transmissions. Other products will be added in coming years, and the facility’s workforce is expected to grow from 60 people to 300.
Shiloh entered China in 2015 with a tech center and aluminum casting plant. The company added a magnesium facility there last year.
