Shenzhen Restricts Car Sales

China's southern city of Shenzhen joins other metropolitan areas of the nation in restricting auto sales. Population centers Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Guangzhou and Gulyang previously enacted restrictions aimed at reducing smog and relieving traffic jams. These actions put more pressure on the auto industry in China and influence carmakers to concentrate on the less affluent, rural areas of the country. (Reuters)
