Schaeffler Exec Named SAE Automotive Chief
Jeff Hemphill, chief technical officer for the Schaeffler Group North America, has been elected vice president of automotive for SAE International.
Jeff Hemphill, chief technical officer for the Schaeffler Group North America, has been elected vice president of automotive for SAE International.
He begins his three-term on Jan. 1., succeeding Chrysler Group Vice President Mircea Gradu. His role will be to oversee SAE's automotive-related standards, events and educational initiatives.
Hemphill, who joined SAE 14 years ago, holds a mechanical engineering degree from The University of Akron in Ohio. His responsibilities at Schaeffler include North American product development and testing for powertrain, industrial machine components and consumer products.
