SAE Taps Schaeffler Exec As Automotive Chief

Jeff Hemphill, chief technical officer for the Schaeffler Group North America, has been elected vice president of automotive for SAE International.

He begins his three-year term on Jan. 1, succeeding Chrysler Group Vice President Mircea Gradu. Hemphill's role will be to oversee SAE's automotive-related standards, events and educational initiatives.
