Last year's growth rate compares with 17% expansion in 2013, impacted by China's smallest economic growth rate since 1990. CPCA says demand for sedans advanced 5% last year, down from 13% in 2013. SUVs and minivans remain the market's two most popular body styles.
The state-backed China Assn. of Automobile Manufacturers will report its 2014 sales data on Monday.
