By 2017 General Motors Co. plans to supply most Buick vehicles sold in the U.S. from Europe and China, two sources tell Reuters.

Two Buick models replacements for the midsize LaCrosse sedan and large Enclave crossover will continue to be made in the U.S., according to the news service.

But Reuters' sources say Buick plans to relocate Verano small sedan production from Michigan to China at the end of next year. They say the unit also will shift output of its midsize Regal sedan from Canada to Europe or China in 2017.

China currently buys four times as many Buicks as are sold in the American market.

Finally, Buick plans to expand its U.S. lineup in 2016 with two new foreign-made compacts: the Cascada convertible from Europe and the Envision crossover from China.
