Renault’s Sales Rose 3% Last Year

Sales in Europe jumped 13% to 1.46 million in 2014, hiking the group's market share 0.6 points to 10.0%. In France, group sales rose 6% to 577,600, and market share advanced 1.3 points to 26.6%.
Registrations outside Europe fell 6% last year, but the group increased its market share in nine of its 10 largest markets. Renault says the biggest gains were in Italy, Portugal, Spain and the U.K. In Brazil (the group's second-largest market), sales were flat at 237,200 units, but market share climbed half a point to a record 7.1%.
By brand, Renault's volume slipped 1% to 2.12 million units in 2014. Dacia sales jumped 19% to 511,500 cars.
The group's best-selling models last year were the Renault/Dacia Duster (395,400 units), Renault Clio IV (378,500) and Renault/Dacia New Logan (237,800).
