Renault Will Idle Moscow Plant for 3 Weeks

Renault SA plans to suspend production between Feb. 16 and March 6 at its Avtoframos factory in Moscow, Reuters reports.

The factory makes the Duster small SUV, Fluence small sedan, Latitude luxury sedan, low-cost Logan small sedan, Megane small hatch and Sandero supermini.

Renault's sales in Russia dropped 7% to 194,700 units last year and 32% to 8,800 units in January, according to the Moscow-based Assn. of European Businesses. The group has estimated the Russian car maker will shrink 24% in 2015.
