Renault SA is preparing to build the next-generation Nissan NV300 commercial van at its factory in Sandouville, France.

The facility currently makes the Renault Trafic van and the Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro and Movano vans for General Motors Co. Renault and Nissan also are developing a light-duty pickup truck that will share the NV300’s chassis and be produced at Sandouville.

Renault has invested €230 million ($256 million) over the past three years to turn the French factory complex into a center for van production. The company says Sandouville will produce about 100,000 NV300 vans over the next 10 years.
