Renault SA may be ready by the end of next week to reveal the results of an internal investigation into compensation paid to Chairman CEO Carlos Ghosn, sources tell Bloomberg News.

Renault began the probe two weeks ago after Ghosn was arrested by Japanese authorities on Nov. 19 and removed as chairman of Nissan Motor Corp. three days later. Nissan says its own internal probe turned up evidence of financial wrongdoing.

Reports say Ghosn will be indicted on Monday for underreporting his true compensation by about 50%. He also is expected to face additional charges next week relating to misusing corporate funds and assets.

Renault has retained Ghosn as chairman. But it appointed Chief Operating Officer Thierry Bollore as deputy CEO while Ghosn was “temporarily incapacitated.” Renault said at the time it will reevaluate Ghosn’s future pending details about the Nissan charges and the results of its own investigation.
