Renault Raise Financial Outlook as Sales Soar

Renault SA reports its global car sales jumped 10% to 2.07 million units in the first half of 2018, led by a 16% gain outside Europe.

The group’s sales of light commercial vehicles zoomed 40% to 320,800 units, compared with a 6% gain for passenger cars.

Renault, which previously predicts 2.5% growth in the global auto market this year, now anticipates a 3% expansion. The company forecasts 1.5% growth for the European market, up from 1% estimated earlier.
