The CEOs of Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors have again affirmed their desire to continue their alliance in the wake of the arrest of Carlos Ghosn, former chairman of all three companies and the partnership.
Reports say the trio did not discuss the appointment of a replacement leader for the Dutch entity that manages their alliance.
Renault’s new CEO, Thierry Bollore, and Nissan CEO Hiroto Saikawa conferred in person today during a regular alliance meeting in Amsterdam. MMC Chairman and CEO Osamu Masuko joined via video.
The meeting was the first since Renault confirmed Bollore a week ago as its permanent CEO, succeeding Ghosn in that role. Renault’s new chairman, Jean-Dominique Senard, has conferred with Saikawa and Masuko by phone but did not participate in today’s meeting.
