PSA to Hike Output 10% in Europe
PSA Peugeot Citroen says it will increase its scheduled vehicle production by 60,000 units between now and August to meet strong sales demand in Europe.
PSA Peugeot Citroen says it will increase its scheduled vehicle production by 60,000 units between now and August to meet strong sales demand in Europe.
The hikes will include all three PSA brands: Citroen, DS and Peugeot. The company says the adjustments will include the Citroen C4 Cactus crossover, DS 3 supermini and Peugeot 208 supermini, 2008 midsize crossover, 308 sedan and 308 SW wagon.
PSA also will boost production at engine and transmission plants in France. The company says it plans to adjust work schedules and in some cases hire temporary workers to accommodate the 10% greater output.
