Polestar Names Hembrough to Lead U.S. Operations

Gregor Hembrough has been appointed to head the U.S. operations of Volvo Car Corp.’s Polestar performance unit.

Hembrough most recently was a vice president for Volvo Cars North America overseeing the northeast and western regions. He joined Volvo in 1992 and has held a variety of management positions around the world during his career with the carmaker.

Production of Polestar’s first model, the $155,000 plug-in hybrid Polestar 1 sport coupe, is due to start next year in China. The majority of the pre-orders for the vehicle are coming from the U.S., according to company officials.
