Overheating Headlamps Prompts Acura Recall
Honda Motor Co. is recalling 14,100 of its 2013-2014 Acura ILX and ILX Hybrid sport sedans in the U.S. to replace headlamps that could cause a fire.

Honda Motor Co. is recalling 14,100 of its 2013-2014 Acura ILX and ILX Hybrid sport sedans in the U.S. to replace headlamps that could cause a fire.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration attributes the problem to excess temperatures around the headlamp bulb and reflector that could cause smoke and melting.
Honda has advised dealers to stop delivering the cars to customers until the problem is fixed. The recall is scheduled to begin July 28.
