Opel to Restructure in Small Steps

Vice Chairman Steve Girsky reiterates at an analyst conference in New York City that General Motors Co.'s restructuring of its Adam Opel unit will occur in incremental steps and not in "one big bang."

Opel executives have said the plan will begin to roll out in the next two to three months. The company said last week it will continue meet with labor leader to discuss ways to make Opel profitable.
