General Motors Co. says its Opel unit will introduce an all-new SUV to the top end of its product lineup by the end of the decade.

Opel will spend €245 million to prepare its plant in Russelsheim to build the vehicle. Germany's Autobild says the model will be called Monza, use a chassis from GM's Buick brand and be priced under €30,000.

GM also says it will spend €500 million to add engine and transmission capacity at factories in Russelsheim and Kaiserslautern, Germany, and Tychy, Poland.
