November Truck Sales Rise 18% in Europe

Deliveries of commercial vehicles across Europe climbed to 186,600 units in November from 158,600 units in the same period last year, industry group ACEA reports. It was the 11th consecutive month of year-on-year growth.

Total commercial vehicle sales through the first 11 months of 2015 rose 12% to 1.96 million units.

Leading November’s gains were France (+6% to 35,100 vehicles), the U.K. (+14% to 33,700), Germany (+15% to 32,400), Spain (+52% to 16,300) and Italy (+28% to 14,400).

Demand for light commercial vehicles rose 17% to 154,100 units last month. ACEA says sales of heavy trucks jumped 25% to 23,000 vehicles. Deliveries of medium and heavy buses and coaches climbed 26% to 3,700 units.
