Paul Willcox, senior vice president for European sales and marketing at Nissan Motor Co., has left the company after two years in that job and 21 years with Nissan.

News reports say Willcox may become managing director of Volkswagen AG's U.K. unit.

Nissan says Guillaume Cartier, its vice president for European sales, will succeed Willcox on Sept. 1. Cartier, who joined the company in 1995, held a series of sales and marketing posts in France, Scandinavia and the U.K. before taking the Europewide job in September 2011.
