Nissan’s Detroit-Born CFO Retires
Joseph Peter, a native of Detroit, has retired at age 54 as chief financial officer for Nissan Motor Co.
Joseph Peter, a native of Detroit, has retired at age 54 as chief financial officer for Nissan Motor Co.
He is a former senior financial executive at General Motors Co. who was head of GM’s international operations in Shanghai before joining Nissan in 2009. His job put him in charge of Nissan’s global financial planning, accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations and support for merger and acquisition activities.
Peter’s successor, effective immediately, is Hiroshi Karube, 62, who had been Nissan’s vice president of accounting and its global controller.
