Nissan Motor Co. says it sold 36,000 locally produced vehicles in India and exported 110,000 others in fiscal 2014-2015.

The Micra small sedan accounts for about three in four Nissan exports from India. Locally assembled Sunny and Datsun Go small cars make up the balance.

Nissan also exports more than 1,800 types of auto components to 34 of the company's factories in 24 countries, making India its second-largest parts export hub after Japan.

The company's factory near Chennai has exports some 500,000 cars to more than 106 countries over the past five years. The company appears likely to reach a cumulative total of 1 million exported vehicles in about four years. The Indian unit supplies vehicles to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
