Nissan Motor Co. is calling back 91,300 late-model Titan fullsize pickup trucks in the U.S. to fix an electrical short circuit that could cause the engine to stall.

The recall applies to 2017-2019 model gasoline-powered Titans. The flaw involves an alternator wiring harness that may have been pinched against the edge of a metal bracket during engine installation.
This could create a short circuit that interferes with battery charging, causing the interior lights to flicker and the radio to switch on and off intermittently. The condition also could reduce vehicle power, stall the engine and/or generate electric sparks in the engine compartment.
Nissan plans to begin the recall on July 23. Dealers will inspect the wiring and either reroute the harness or replace it.
