Nissan Adds Brazil to Infiniti Brand Rollout

Nissan Motor Co. says it will debut its Infiniti luxury brand in Brazil in 2014.

Infiniti will initially offer three models the coupelike FX crossover, large JX crossover and an unspecified new sport sedan through one outlet each in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The company plans to open one dealership each in two other parts of the country within three years.

Nissan has not indicated a sales target for the luxury make in Brazil. Since March the company has launched the Infiniti in Australia, Chile, Dominican Republic, Singapore and South Africa in a bid to establish the brand globally. Infiniti also is scheduled to enter the Hong Kong market next year.
