Chevy doesn’t plan to introduce any vehicles at the Detroit show. Parent General Motors Co.’s only planned unveiling is that of the Cadillac XT6 crossover.
The much-anticipated eighth-generation Corvette is expected to launch next summer. Media reports now suggest that the 2020 model could be publicly unveiled at the New York auto show in April, noting that the original Corvette debuted at GM’s 1953 Motorama event in New York.
A camouflaged version of the 2020-model Corvette was captured by spy photographers in September. The vehicle will be built on an aluminum spaceframe with a cab-forward design allowed by the C8’s long-rumored mid-engine layout.
