PSA Peugeot Citroen SA’s Citroen unit is working with an unidentified supplier on a new suspension system it plans to eventually offer on all models.

The architecture, which will replace Citroen’s classic hydro-pneumatic set-up, will maximize ride comfort without sacrificing body control, CEO Linda Jackson tells Autocar. No details about the technology were provided.

Jackson says the system will be exclusive to Citroen and will bow on the C5 sedan in 2017.

She also reiterates plans to halve the number of Citroen body styles from 14 today to seven in the future. The totals don’t include the tiny C1 model, which was co-developed by Peugeot and Toyota.
