Mustang Passes “Go” In New Monopoly Game

The Ford Mustang muscle car will be one of the six playing pieces in the 2016 edition of Hasbro’s Monopoly Empire, a spinoff of the classic Monopoly board game.

Ford is one of 22 brands in this year’s Monopoly Empire game, in which players buy, sell and trade brands rather than real estate properties. Chevrolet was one of the sponsored brands in previous editions of the game, with the 2014 Stingray serving as a game piece.

The other featured tokens this year include a Caterpillar excavator, Puma shoe, Transformers head, Wilson tennis racquet and Xbox game controller. Additional brands include Levi’s, Nerf, Polaroid and Universal Parks & Resorts.
