Musk: Self-Driving Cars No Big Deal

Tesla Motors Inc. CEO Elon Musk says mastering the technology of self-driving cars won't be difficult.

He tells a technology conference in California that automated cars will soon become the "default" mode of personal transportation. He vows that Tesla will take the lead in such systems and declares, "We can do autonomous driving easier than people think."

He compares self-driving cars to automatic elevators and predicts a distant future where people-piloted cars may be outlawed as too dangerous.
