Ford Motor Co. is still brushing off questions about when CEO Alan Mulally, 66, plans to retire. At the company's annual meeting on Thursday, Chairman Bill Ford Jr. joked that Mulally would stay until 2030 when he would be 84 years old.

Investors are anxious about the company's succession plan because Mulally is so closely associated with Ford's turnaround. Analysts say that uncertainty is dampening the company's share price, which was $10.71 at Thursday's close.

When Ford announced senior management changes in February, Mulally was peppered with questions about his retirement. He laughed off the queries by saying he'd scrutinized the press release, and his name wasn't on it.
