Mitsubishi Motors Corp. sold more than 5,000 Outland PHEV SUVs in Canada through the first 11 months of 2018, which the carmaker says sets a new full-year record for a plug-in hybrid vehicle in the country.

Nearly half (47%) of the Outlander PHEV’s Canadian sales came from Quebec. Mitsubishi touts the vehicle as the most affordable plug-in hybrid SUV in Canada with a starting price of C$44,700 ($33,800).

Mitsubishi gave the midsize Outlander PHEV a mid-cycle freshening this year. Changes included an upgraded battery and powertrain to boost efficiency and driving range.
