Mexico’s Vehicle Production Plateaus

Mexico built a record 369,500 light-duty vehicles last month, up only 1,400 units from August 2017, industry group AMIA reports.

Output through the first eight months of the year totaled 2.62 million units, a gain of a mere 3,100 vehicles.

AMIA says domestic sales in August slid 5% to 118,700 cars. Delivers for the year to date dropped 8% to 913,700 units.
