Mexico’s output of cars in July declined 4%, and exports—excluding Nissan—dropped 6%, according to industry trade group AMIA.
The country built 291,600 vehicles last month compared with 302,700 in July 2017. Exports dropped to 215,000 units from 227,400, but those numbers exclude Nissan, which has stopped reporting its results.
Last month’s production was disrupted by flooding at a Honda Motor Co. factory, but AMIA says output also slipped at factories operated by Audi, Ford, Kia and Nissan.
The industry’s domestic car sales in Mexico fell 6% to 114,300 cars and light trucks, according to the trade group.
