Mercedes to Recall Eight Models for Engine Fire Risk

Daimler AG will recall 5,800 vehicles in the U.S. from the 2011 and 2012 model years to replace a faulty fuel filter flange that could crack and leak. The company attributes the defect to an improper molding process.

The campaign, which is expected to begin in January, involves eight models: the C300, S400 and S550 sedans, CL550 and CL63 coupes, S63 performance coupe and GLK350 crossover vehicle.
