Mercedes to Headquarter U.S. Unit Outside Atlanta

Daimler AG says its Mercedes-Benz USA headquarters will be in Sandy Springs, a suburb of Atlanta, Ga.

Daimler confirmed last month it will begin in June to move its American base from the Montvale, N.J., location it has occupied for more than 40 years to Georgia. The company will occupy about 100,000 sq ft of temporary space in the area until the new headquarters building is ready in early 2017.

The facility eventually will house about 950 employees. They will handle Mercedes brand marketing, distribution and customer relations in the American market.
