Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz Cars unit sold 30,000 vehicles in the U.S. in November compared with a record 34,600 units a year earlier. The company blames the 13% drop—its biggest in six years—on a shortage of vehicles.

The unit says technical issues prevented it from reporting its sales data on Tuesday along with the rest of the industry. It also says last month’s volume was large enough to ensure record full-year results.

Mercedes brand car sales in the U.S. through the first 11 months of the year totaled 308,900 units, up 4% from the same period in 2014, according to the company.
