Mazda Recall to Fix Loose Door Latches
Mazda Motor Corp. is recalling 161,400 of its Mazda6 midsize sedans in the U.S. to adjust latches that may allow the door to open when the car is in motion.

Mazda Motor Corp. is recalling 161,400 of its Mazda6 midsize sedans in the U.S. to adjust latches that may allow the door to open when the car is in motion.
The campaign, which will begin in mid-October, covers 2009-2013 models. Mazda blames the problem on latch bolts that weren't correctly tightened during assembly.
If the bolts loosen, the door may not latch properly when closed. If that happens, Mazda says, the "door ajar" light would illuminate.
