Mazda Motor Corp. has introduced an online service that enables them to check if their vehicles have been recalled and if so, to quickly schedule repairs through a specific dealer.
The Recall Information Center at www.MazdaRecallinfo.com allows visitors to enter a vehicle identification number to check on recall status, just as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s www.safercar.gov/vin site does.
But if repairs are needed, the Mazda site also provides access to an appointment scheduling feature that includes a specific website page for each participating Mazda dealer. The site also posts detailed information about the company’s recent recalls, including illustrations and FAQ sections.
Mazda says it developed the site with Minacs Marketing Solutions, a Farmington Hills, Mich.-based direct-marketing firm.
