Former "Friends" star Matt LeBlanc has signed a two-year contract to be the front man for BBC’s “Top Gear” television program.

LeBlanc co-hosted the irreverent automotive show this year with Chris Evans, who quit shortly after the final episode of the season aired in July. The pair had replaced controversial former host Jeremy Clarkson, who was fired last year for assaulting one of the show’s producers.

Joining LeBlanc again next season will be Chris Harris and Rory Reid. Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz and mystery driver the Stig also are due to make regular appearances. Harris and Reid will continue to host "Extra Gear," which airs on BBC Three.
