Maserati SpA says two new sedans will hike the company's sales of high-performance luxury cars to about 16,000 units this year from 6,300 vehicles in 2012.

CEO Harald Wester says the company has orders for more than 20,000 cars, thanks in large part to the debut of its new €66,000 Ghibli "entry-level" midsize sport sedan and €110,000 Quattroporte large sedan.

Those models will be joined in 2015 by the company's first SUV, the Levante. The company aims to sell 20,000-25,000 units annually.

Maserati is targeting global sales of 40,000 vehicles next year and 50,000 in 2015. By then the company expects to have as many as 450 dealers worldwide, up from 320 this year.
