Magneti Marelli Opens Exhaust System Plant in U.S.

Fiat SpA's Magneti Marelli Holdings USA unit has opened its first exhaust system factory.

The 100,000-sq-ft facility outside Detroit is the company's fourth plant in the U.S. but its first in Michigan. The factory has capacity to make 300,000 integrated exhaust manifold and catalytic converter systems.

The plant will initially supply parts for Fiat-Chrysler vehicles. It also will make aftermarket parts sold through Chrysler's Mopar division.
