Lissalde to Succeed Verrier as BorgWarner CEO

James Verrier is stepping down from his position as president and CEO of BorgWarner Inc. and will serve in a nonexecutive advisory role until he retires in February.

James Verrier is stepping down from his position as president and CEO of BorgWarner Inc. and will serve in a nonexecutive advisory role until he retires in February.
 

Frederic Lissalde (left) will transition from his current role as executive vice president and chief operating officer to succeed Verrier as CEO, effective Aug. 1.


Since joining BorgWarner in 1999, Lissalde has held several executive positions with the company. This includes heading BorgWarner’s turbocharger and transmission operations. He has advanced degrees in engineering and business.
 
Verrier, 55, has spent 29 years at BorgWarner and took the helm of the company in early 2013. During his tenure, Verrier led BorgWarner’s transition to electrified powertrain systems. This included the company's $950 million acquisition of Remy International Inc. in 2015.
