Toyota Motor Corp.'s Lexus unit used this week's Geneva auto show to present the LF-SA, a highly sculpted 2+2 urban minicar concept.
The little B-segment car measures about 11 feet long, 5.5 feet wide and 5 feet tall. The exterior is marked by Lexus' busy "time in design" styling approach, which aims to create very different perceptions of the car as the viewing angle shifts.
The car features a giant three-dimensional interpretation of the Lexus spindle-shaped grille and high hood flanked with pronounced flying buttresses. The car's flanks are marked with numerous pronounced character lines and layered indentations. The bobtailed rear accentuates the rear fenders, giving the car a strongly planted stance.
Inside, the LF-SA boasts a fixed driver's seat and adjustable pedals and steering wheel. A highly animated, hologram-style IP display reconfigures itself as driving situations change to optimize the presentation of relevant information.
