Jaguar Land Rover Ltd. is calling back 22,700 of its late-model SUVs in the U.S. with automatic transmissions could abruptly shift into neutral.
The cause is a manufacturing flaw in the wiring harness that links sensors with the transmission’s electronic controller. Dealers will perform a software update to eliminate the problem.
The recall covers the company’s 2014-2015 model Range Rover Evoque and 2015 model Discovery Sport SUVs. JLR plans to begin notifying owners about the issue in mid-October.
