Kia Motors Corp. has released sketches of the second-generation Cadenza midsize car it plans to unveil later this month at the Los Angeles auto show.
The 2017 model Cadenza sports bolder styling than the outgoing model. Features include the company’s “tiger-nose” grille, an aggressive front fascia, angular headlights and light-emitting-diode fog lights. The car also gets a steeply sloped windshield, sharp lines, dual exhaust system and a stylish trunk lid with an integrated spoiler.
The interior features a more modern design and higher quality materials than its predecessor. Kia says the passenger cabin of the new vehicle also will be roomier.
Power is expected to come from a 3.3-liter V-6 that produces 293 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque. Media reports suggest a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine also will be offered in an entry-level variant.
