Kia Motors Inc. is recalling 106,400 of its Sedona minivans in the U.S. because their power sliding side doors may not auto-reverse if they encounter an obstruction.
Kia reports 21 customer complaints, all of them by customers in the U.S. market. The company says 14 of the incidents involve people who say they suffered minor injuries when the door closed on them.
Kia plans to begin notifying affected owners on June 18. Dealers will update the software to make the system more sensitive to obstructions.
