July Car Sales Climb 2% in France

Sales of passenger vehicles in France advanced to 147,100 units last month from 143,800 in July 2014, according to industry group CCFA.

PSA Peugeot Citroen's sales expanded 2% to 55,900 units. Deliveries by rival Renault fell 9% to 37,600 vehicles.

Volkswagen AG's group sales slipped 1% to 22,700 units. Volume rose for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (+8% to 9,700), Ford (+5% to 7,200), Daimler (+18% to 6,800), Toyota (+11% to 6,600), BMW Group (+6% to 6,100) and Hyundai (+22% to 4,500).

July sales declined for Nissan (-4% to 6,300) and General Motors (-6% to 4,700).
